The Brennan Residence

A client's charge to combine two apartments provided an opportunity to design and fabricate a discreet vertical intervention into a newly renovated industrial loft building.

The interplay of the folded steel of the stair structure with the softened cast concrete stair treads melodically punctuate the newly revealed vertical space.

A billowing plaster wall encloses this new vertical space providing both a spatial boundary as well as a connecting element for the newly configured duplex.
